On the Second Saturday of every month, we run themed family events. Join us on Saturday 10 August for our newly launched ‘Play Cycles’ - a pop-up event in Guildhall yard, in collaboration with the Museum of London.

Each Play Cycle is packed with an exciting range of activities. Come and see them in action and get creative with loose parts play, arts and crafts, games, expect to explore the senses through sound and create your own performances. We will also have our regular gallery-based craft activities and storytelling sessions.

  • 11 am to 4 pm – Crafts activities – make some traditional Victorian inspired toys – Thaumatropes (early animation), Spinning tops and games
  • 11.30 am to 11.50am and 2.30pm to 2.50pm – Storytelling

Includes a story corner with portable library, cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.

Plan to make a day of it - bring a picnic lunch to have in Guildhall Yard, or eat nearby.

This event is for children aged 3-13 and their families, and it is not suitable for individual adults. The activities are free but booking is advised.

Sign up to the family mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming events.
