City of London Police Authority
The Court of Common Council is the Police Authority for the City of London Police in accordance with the City of London Police Act 1839 and the Police Act 1996. The Court delegates this function, largely, to the City of London Police Authority Board.
Police Authority Board
The Police Authority Board is comprised of eleven Members of the Court of Common Council and two External Members appointed by the Court. The members of the Police Authority Board meet ten times a year. The Board’s membership and terms of reference are set out in the Membership and Terms of Reference 2021-22.
