Annual Wardmotes and Polling Stations

Date updated: 7/02/2025

Wardmotes

Wardmotes are Ward meetings that are held annually in March. The Common council elections will be held the following day, so the main purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the Ward electorate to meet their Alderman and the candidates standing in the Ward. Electors can raise any questions with the candidates that they may have.

Voters will receive poll cards in early March to inform them if their Ward is contested, and if so, how they can vote. Polling stations in the City of London are open between 8am and 8pm.
