Upcycled fashion sewing workshops with Revival LDN
Join us for a creative, hands-on experience with Rosette, founder of Revival, as we delve into the world of upcycled fashion.
Revival is a London-based fashion label dedicated to textile waste reduction and specialising in the repurposing of discarded textiles. Conceptual, limited edition capsule collections and exclusive drops are released throughout the year and made using deadstock materials and reimagine into bold, contemporary styles inspired by a fusion of the 90s and Rosette’s West African heritage.
There will be two workshops taking place on 8 March as part of Repair Week. In these two engaging workshops, you'll learn how to transform old materials into new, stylish accessories while discovering the importance of sustainable fashion practices.
Workshop 1: knot bag making | 10am – 12.30pm
In this session, Rosette will guide you through the process of creating your own unique knot bag. Starting with a piece of deadstock material, you'll explore techniques to personalise your bag, then move on to the process of knot bag making, where you'll construct and create the functional and fashionable knot bag. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind upcycled knot bag, ready to use and proudly display.
See the Eventbrite page to find out more and book yourself into the knot bag making workshop.
Workshop 2: bucket hat making | 1.30 – 4pm
For the second session as part of this event, Rosette will be helping you transform deadstock and unwanted materials into a stylish, upcycled bucket hat. Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe or explore sustainable fashion, this hands-on session will teach you how to repurpose textiles into a trendy and practical accessory.
See the Eventbrite page to find out more and book yourself into the bucket hat making Workshop.
Within both workshops, Rosette will share insights into textile waste, the environmental impact of fast fashion, and Revival’s mission to promote sustainability through circular design. The sessions will also explore the role of fashion redesign in reducing textile waste and how small changes in our consumption habits can have a big impact on the environment.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, these workshops are an opportunity to make something meaningful while learning about the environmental benefits of upcycling. All materials and tools will be provided but please feel free to bring along any materials you’d like to use. Join us for a day of creativity, sustainability, and style!
