Pet travel agents.
Before we can reunite you with your pet it will need to be cleared through UK customs. It is the responsibility of your UK nominated agent to clear your pet through customs once its health paperwork has been reviewed by HARC (non-commercial movements) or APHA (commercial movements.)
Do I need to use a pet shipper?
We advise you to employ a pet shipper which is a member of The International Pet and Animal Transport Association (IPATA.) It will organise the work needed to relocate your pets, including nominating a UK agent. These are UK agents at Heathrow:
- Airpets
- Airsupply
- ASM Freight Services Ltd
- FlyPets
- JCS Livestock
- Ladyhaye
- Moonbridge Air & Project Services
- Pets By Plane
- Paws on Planes
- PBS Pet Travel Services
- PetAir UK
- Pets Abroad UK
- Silver Birch Pet Jets
- Sky Kennels (Formally trading as Starwood Animal Transport)
- Skypets International
- TailWings Pet Travel
- TFA Logistics
Can I clear my pet through customs myself?
Airlines and their ground handling agents will require you to nominate a UK agent. They will not allow a private importer to clear cargo through customs. Speak to your airline or its ground handling agent for more information.
