Our Building Control service
What we do
We provide an efficient, value for money, statutory building control service for work within the City of London. We will advise you pre-application, issue a formal approval, inspect the works and issue a completion certificate. We aim to make this as simple as possible, identifying potential risks early in the project, and working with you to ensure a smooth process.
An eye to the future
Building Control isn’t simply about constructing or altering a building. Our expertise encompasses everything from fitting out the shells of new builds or the restoration of existing structures to conservation projects, making them ready for occupation.
We have an eye to the future too. Contributing to environmental resilience is second nature to us, ensuring sustainable drainage systems, facilitating green wall systems and ensuring low carbon construction. If you are planning a refit of an existing building, it is likely that our surveyors will have been involved in setting out earlier configurations of the same building a generation earlier.
Our most valuable asset is the knowledge and experience of our staff, many who have decades of Building Control experience in the City.

Our experience is second to none. We have qualified specialists in the fields of civil and structural engineering, fire engineering and mechanical and electrical as well as being all round building control surveyors, backed by an ISO 9001 system. We are able to use this extensive experience to provide innovative solutions for achieving compliance. Our engineering team is able to provide specialist input to complex structural issues in buildings alongside their normal bridge work.

We maintain close working relationships with clients, consultants, designers and contractors alike. We also have good relationships with the London Fire Brigade, Planners, Highways and Environmental Health and can help to facilitate meetings and input so as to ensure a smooth project.
Relaxations
Only the Local Authority is permitted to dispense or relax parts of the Building Regulations.
