About the estate
Harman Close is situated on the Avondale Square Estate, just off the Old Kent Road in the London Borough of Southwark.
Set in mature secluded gardens, Harman Close has 39 large bedsit flats, eight one-bedroom flats and one two-bedroom flat built on the ground, first and second floors. There are two lifts serving all floors. All flats have their own kitchens and bathrooms. There are window boxes in each of the ground floor flats and balconies on the upper floors.
There is also a communal lounge on the ground floor where residents can relax, play pool or darts, and enjoy views of the pond and gardens. The communal gardens are available for use by residents and there are occasional social events organised by both residents and the Scheme Manager (such as coffee mornings or fish and chip suppers).
A dedicated scooter storage room is also available for those with mobility needs. Parking spaces and garages are available to rent, subject to availability. Information about residents' parking can be obtained from the Scheme Manager.
Rents include heating and hot water within the flats, and communal heating charges; they do not include water charges. A support and service charge is included in the rent.
