We offer thousands of free ebooks, audiobooks and online newspapers and magazines for all ages and interests. Read or listen on your mobile device, PC or laptop. The easiest way to access our eLibrary is using the Libby, Borrowbox or Pressreader apps, and there is more information on each of these below.

Borrowing eLibrary items

You will need your library card number and your PIN.

You can join online if you aren't a member yet.

Libby

Use Libby to borrow books, audiobooks, magazines, comics and digital newspapers. Download the Libby app on your Apple, Android and Kindle Fire devices, or borrow items directly from the Libby website.

Use your library card to register and start borrowing.

If you are having issues using Libby, help is available, otherwise please contact your library for assistance.

Borrowbox

Listen to a wide range of audiobooks on BorrowBox. Download the app on Apple, Android and Kindle Fire devices or borrow items directly from the Borrowbox website.

Use your library card and PIN to start borrowing.

PressReader

Use PressReader to access and download newspapers and those magazines not available on Libby, including the Economist. Download the PressReader app on your Apple, Android or Kindle Fire devices, or access publications at the PressReader website.

To access click ‘sign in’ and then select the ‘library or group’ option and sign in with your library membership number and pin (or password). Your will then be prompted for your personal details, but this is optional and you can continue without completing this.

Our eLibrary services are provided by

  • OverDrive Inc. - Your anonymised data will be shared with OverDrive Inc., which is based in the USA.
  • PressReader - PressReader collects very limited personal data from users. Where PressReader does collect personal data, it does in accordance with its privacy policy.
  • Bolinda Digital - Your anonymised data will be shared with Bolinda which is based in the UK and Australia, but data may be stored in the USA.
