Ordering waste and recycling bags

If you live in the City of London, your waste and recycling system works a little differently – and it all starts with having the right bags.

How to Get Your Waste and Recycling Bags

Residents in the Square Mile are provided with the essential bags needed to manage their household waste and recycling. These are delivered to you automatically every six months:

  • Clear recycling bags – for recyclable materials like paper, plastic bottles, glass, tins, and cardboard
  • White refuse bags – for general household waste (only provided to properties with a kerbside collection)
  • Green food liners – for food waste (only provided to properties with a food waste service)

You don’t need to request these standard deliveries – they will arrive directly to your property on a six-monthly cycle.
