History
The Physic Garden was created by the Worshipful Company of Barbers who wanted to present a broad view of the way in which plants have been used from the earliest times to the present day in the practice of medicine and surgery. It now contains over 40 different species of herb plants which were grown to treat wounds, bruises and burns.
