Highams Park
At Highams Park, there is a long narrow stretch of Epping Forest linking the Hatch at Chingford to the Forest in Walthamstow.
Originally part of Highams Park, created by Humphrey Repton in 1794, Highams Park now forms part of the our Special Area of Conservation and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest; being home to lots of plants and tree species, including ancient hornbeam pollards and a grove of young oaks upstream of the lake.
