We encourage you to walk or use public transport, whenever you can, when visiting the Heath to keep you carbon footprint to a minimum.

We've compiled some frequently asked questions about parking at Hampstead Heath. If your query is not answered below please contact the Hampstead Heath Team.

There are three paid car parks for Hampstead Heath and one car park for Blue Badge holders only.

East Heath Car Park

Jack Straws Car Park

The Parliament Hill Lido Car Park

Golders Hill Park Car Park (Blue badge holders only)

There is limited on-street car parking around the Heath - please check parking restrictions with the relevant local authority.

Payment can be made using the RingGo platform by phone on 020 7110 0000 or by app. Details of this process can be found on signage at the car parks, or by visiting RingGo

Many heritage green spaces such as the National Trust, English Heritage and Royal Parks charge visitors for car parking to generate income to fund and reinvest in the sites.  All of the income from car park charges, less the costs of maintaining the scheme, will be reinvested in the Heath.

Using ANPR is a more efficient way to enforce our parking regulations. All proceeds from parking and parking enforcement go back into managing and protecting the Heath.

Any vehicle that enters and leaves the car park within a 15 minute window will not be subject to any charges or fines. Any stay over this duration, the visitor will have to pay via RingGo or register their blue badge.

Follow the instructions through the link APCOA Blue Badge Permit Portal, or scan the QR code on the sign boards in the car park.

You can register in advance using this link: APCOA Blue Badge Permit Portal or if you don’t have online access, you can register by phone on 0345 222 7262
