With far-reaching valley views and paths into the surrounding countryside, Riddlesdown offers space for walking and seeing wildlife including wildflowers, birds and brightly-coloured butterflies such as the common blue.

How to get to Riddlesdown
Riddlesdown Railway Station is to the north of the Common and a short walk from the site with regular trains and connecting routes to Central London (Victoria and London Bridge). For travel times, please see the National Rail Enquiries website.
The Abellio London Bus 407 runs from Caterham to Sutton. Please alight at the A22 Godstone Road bus stop for Riddlesdown. From here, it is a short walk uphill to Riddlesdown. For travel times, please see the Transport for London website.
Riddlesdown lies close to junction 7 of the M25. There is a small pay and display public car park on the site off Riddlesdown Road, which comes off Mitchley Avenue. From Monday 25 January a new parking system will be in place and a daily parking charge will apply - see our car parking and season ticket page. Contact Merlewood Estate Office
The Office is situated on the edge of Coulsdon Common in Caterham on the Hill and is the central hub for both the Coulsdon and West Wickham Commons staff. Here you will find a small information point where you can speak to a member of staff, pick up maps, visitor guides and other publications about each of the commons.
Opening times: Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
