September 2024 marks the 85th anniversary of the start of World War II, a conflict that witnessed over 30 members of the City of London Police lose their lives, both on the Home Front and while serving in the Armed Forces.

In this talk, police historian Rebecca Walker delves into the lives and careers of some of those police officers and staff commemorated on the force’s War Memorial. She explores what their stories reveal about the impact of global conflict on the City of London and its police force.
