What is a temporary use notice?
A temporary use notice (TUN) authorises a person or an organisation to make facilities available for gambling activities for a temporary period of time at a particular premises without the need for a full premises licence . However, a TUN may only be granted if the premises user is already in possession of a relevant operating licence issued by the Gambling Commission.
What activities are permitted?
The gaming activities which the operator wishes to permit under the notice can only be those authorised by the Gambling Commission on the operator's operating licence.
What restrictions apply to a TUN?
A premises may only be the subject of a TUN for no more than 21 days in any 12 month period. However, the premises may be the subject of more than one notice on the provision that the total number of days do does not exceed 21.
What information is required on the TUN?

When should a TUN be submitted?
A TUN must be given to the local authority at least three months prior to the date when the notice is due to be in effect.

The notice should be served on the licensing authority and the following responsible authorities:
