The Finsbury Circus Western Arm project forms part of the City of London's Cool Streets and Greening Programme. The project aims to enhance the public space through increased greening, including sustainable drainage and improved seating, in order to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for workers, residents and visitors to dwell.

The re-landscaping improvements at the Finsbury Circus Western Arm commenced on 1 August 2024 and will include repaving in York stone, and the introduction of planters, trees and seating to create a green public space.

The re-landscaping works will last approximately 5 months. The Western Arm will not be accessible during this time, but changes to the walking and wheeling routes, during the construction phase, will be clearly signposted.

The works are delivered by the City’s highway contractor, FM Conway. Works will be undertaken during the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am - 6pm
  • Saturday: 9am - 2pm (no noisy works restriction)
  • Sunday: no work to be undertaken
