Honey Lane Quarters
Honey Lane Quarters is a charming stretch of woodland and grassland in the northwest of the Forest. As the first part of Epping Forest visible from the M25, it's a useful, central part of the Forest from which to explore the woodland around High Beach, Loughton and Epping.
Things to do in Honey Lane Quarters
- Explore the Quarters on foot, by bike, on horseback or with your dog
- Enjoy a picnic at the edge of the Forest
- For a long walk, head south through Pillow Mounds to our Epping Forest Visitor Centre at High Beach
- Visit the Rifle Butts which were used as a shooting range in the 1800s
- Pop into a nearby pub for a hot lunch and a cold drink
- Head to Big View for a breathtaking view across the Lee Valley and Waltham Abbey
