Please note - access to Warren Plantation is not permitted at present due to an outbreak of Ramorum tree disease in this area. Please be assured that we are currently taking actions to limit its spread and we encourage you to enjoy other areas of Epping Forest while this is under investigation.
During an annual tree health survey, a new disease which could seriously threaten Epping Forest trees, Ramorum Disease, was discovered at its very earliest stage in some rhododendron bushes. The outbreak was found at The Warren Plantation in the north of the Forest near to the M25.
Warren Plantation was part of Copped Hall Estate until 1992, when it was added to the Forest. A fairly dense span of woodland, it boasts an astonishing 50+ varieties of tree - making it a uniquely scenic part of the Forest.
What to do in Warren Plantation
- Explore the trees on foot, by bike, on horseback or with your dog
- Bring a camera and capture the spectacular range of trees in the Plantation
- Keep an eye out for deer and other Forest wildlife

Warren Plantation is a 2.2km (1.4 mile) walk from Epping station on the Central line.
